Why I Teach at CPLS: The easy answer is because of the sovereignty of God. The sentimental answer is because of the godly men the Lord placed in my life to help mold and shape me into the man and teacher I am today. As a teen, I did not care much for education, but, in time, the Lord used teachers to show me the importance of equipping and training young men and women in Christ in the classical method of education. Having been born and raised in Ohio, it has always been my desire to settle back in the Midwest where I might give my years of work doing the same that those teachers did for me. God has graciously provided such opportunity for my family and me at Cair Paravel Latin School.
Personal Testimony: I was born in Norwalk, Ohio, on May 19, 1984. My maternal grandparents together with my mother raised me in the Buckeye state. While raising me, my mother believed that it was important for her child to attend church and saw to it that I attend on a regular basis. It was in June of 1989, I heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time in my life. I was young and had never heard it before, and yet I saw my sin, my shame, and my need for repentance. I there saw that I needed Jesus Christ as my Savior over the sin that ruled in my life. As a little boy sitting outside of Camden Baptist Church on the front steps, I knew that I wanted to follow Jesus Christ. For the next six to seven years I continued to grow and follow the Lord in obedience, showing fruit, which flowed from my love for Christ and from constantly learning the Scriptures. Later, during my junior high and high school years, life was troublesome. During this time, I struggled with constant conviction but I wanted to live for myself. It was during my freshman year of college in Pottersville, New York at Word of Life Bible Institute that I began to come back to the wisdom of the Scriptures and follow Jesus Christ. Since then, I have gone on to pursue theological studies at both the undergraduate and graduate level, married my college sweetheart, Emily, in 2009 and was blessed with my son, Wyatt Cash in 2012 and daughter Willow in 2019.
