Years at CPLS: 2004-present
B.S., Bible Education – Manhattan Christian College
Why I teach at CPLS: I minister here at CPLS because I have a passion and true spiritual yearning to educate and equip young children to grow and develop into a young Christian warrior like Jesus. I love to motivate children in the beginning academic fundamentals in a fun-loving, positive and encouraging learning environment as I am a positive influence in their lives. I am a very patient teacher that has a unique ability to teach each child at his/her own level of learning while motivating each child to ascertain their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them. In my classroom there is a strong level of trust that is developed which has allowed me to provide direction to each child I teach. I count it a privilege to be a teacher here at CPLS. I take my job very seriously in the responsibility of teaching and spiritually guiding my precious students in our classroom. I want my students to learn and fulfill the “Great Commission” as stated in Matthew 28:18-20 that says”: go and make disciples of ALL nations, teaching them everything Christ has commanded.” Using the power of the Holy Spirit that works in me, each day I strive toward the goal of preparing and nurturing my students. I count it a JOY to see children grow in the love of our Heavenly Father.
Personal Testimony: At the young age of 8 years old, I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I count it an awesome opportunity to live and work through my daily bible study and prayer time as I allow Christ to be Lord of my life.
Personal Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 teenage children, cooking, going on walks, swimming, gardening, shopping, and cheering on Washburn University, Wichita State University and Kansas State University.
For the past 30 years, I have loved ministering at church in Children’s Ministry teaching Awana, Sunday School, Music and Vacation Bible School.
