Affiliations & Accreditations
Cair Paravel Latin School holds membership with four peer organizations for purposes of accountability, development and improvement. CPLS is a charter member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools, and is aligned with the Kansas Association of Independent and Religious Schools, the American Association of Christian Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International. Our school is also an approved member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
Cair Paravel Latin School is by choice not accredited by the state of Kansas, and this has proven to be no hindrance to the success of our students in higher education at public and private colleges and universities. The median ACT score for the more than 200 students who have graduated from CPLS is over 25 (mean 25.5; range 12-36). The average freshman at the University of Kansas scored 21. We feel accreditation from a state agency whose policies and procedures are often antithetical to the classical Christian model of education is a poor substitute for the accreditation that we seek in the eyes of parents and institutions of higher learning who focus upon solid work ethics, well rounded education and virtuous character qualities.
