The Studio String Duo played a selection of classical music as guests gathered on the front lawn. |
The Silver Anniversary Celebration, held on Sunday, July 3rd created a sense of pride and a desire for people to reconnect. Guests traveled from distant states like Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Colorado to reunite with friends, families and faculty members. Four hundred eighty guests preregistered to attend the Celebration and many more joined us for a memorable evening. Classical music performed by The Studio String Duo greeted our guests. Children discovered with delight the unexpected pleasures of The Land of Spare Oom! Alumni and former faculty members were lured to the upper level by the sounds of laughter, music and the munching of Twinkies! The Celebration Feast, catered by Beto Junction, began under the Tent on the Castle Grounds and concluded in the school cafeteria as the torrential rainfall continued. Aslan’s tireless army of volunteers never stopped working to accommodate the Celebration guests. The excitement only grew as the storm’s intensity grew. It was with great joy that the evening culminated in the gym with remarks, recitations and performances from our alumni, former faculty and current students. The Grand Finale was a tribute to our Creator for preserving and sustaining our school for the past 25 years. The crowd joined in unison to sing America the Beautiful, release 400 balloons and watch the breathtaking fireworks under the gentle rain. The underwriting initiative for the Silver Anniversary Celebration made it affordable for all to attend. Our underwriters, whether they were a part of the past or a part of the present, seized the opportunity to lay a foundation for a lifelong commitment to Cair Paravel that does not end at graduation. We can only imagine CPLS in 25 more years!CPLS 25th anniversary photos are available for viewing at: Special Thanks to our

"This is more than a milestone. Who would have thought we would have come so far? The thunderstorm was very significant but so was the resilience and persistence of all those who desired to have the show go on. Cair Paravel has had its stormy moment but there have always been those who have been ready to pick up the torch and persevere." |
