We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program for CPLS. It’s called Lions Share, and it’s a fund raising program that works while you shop.
When you purchase Lions Share, you’re purchasing negotiable certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our program including JC Penney, The Gap, Dillons, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others.
You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money. It’s simple participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to CPLS at a discount. Families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and CPLS keeps the difference - from 2 to 15 percent or more - as revenue.
This is the easiest way to earn money for CPLS…you just have to buy certificates through the Lions Share program. The beauty of the Lions Share program is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with Lion's Share at the stores that participate in the program! The gift certificates can be used for just about any household purchase including groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, entertainment, travel, gasoline and even dining out.
Each week in the school newsletter will be a Lions Share order form. Just fill it out, attach one check for the total amount of your order, and place it in the tuition box across from the office each Monday before 9:00 a.m. Your order will be returned to you by Friday. In rare cases a certificate may be back ordered. You will be notified if this occurs.
