CPLS, as a member of MAACS (Mid-America Association of Christian Schools) participates each spring in an academaic and fine arts competition held at Tri-City Christian School in Independence, Missouri.
Students in grade 5-6 compete on one day. Students in grades 7-12 compete over a 2-day period. Catagories include: choral performances, vocal and instrumental performances, dramatic readings, expository readings, art competition and academic testing. Competitors who will represent the school at MAACS are selected ahead on time based on auditions or testing. Concert dress is required.
MAACS is an excellent way for 9th-12th graders to fulfill the two Fine Arts requirements for graduation.
